My future job

In the future, I would like to work in technological journalism and writting about movies or anime. I imagine doing reviews about phones, personal computers and something like that. I enjoy the idea that I can use smartphones or notebooks before it goes on sale. On the other hand, I would love to get paid for talking about my hobbies, or doing analysis about tv shows.

I think the job would be indoors, whether in my house or an office. I would like to move in my job just to do interviews or to obtain news, in that way I will save money for traveling. Although my dream is to do my work only in my house so I can have more time to do my personal things.

About the salary, I would love to earn more than one million pesos to live calmly without the preocupation to have enough money to pay the rent. But if we think in real terms, I would settle with five hundred thousand pesos.

When I finished studiying journalism, I would like to take languages courses such as english and japanese. I want to do that because I can apply that knowledge in my dream job. Also, I want to learn about video edition to improve my works.

My favorite book

I don't have a favorite book author because like the last post, I'm too bad to choose someone. Although I would highlight authors such as Pedro Lemebel, Tomas Moulian and Zygmunt Bauman. Since they taught me a lot of things through their books and also changed my visions about the society.

I don't have a clear preference about what kind of books but ultimately I've read topics regarding sociology and journalism thanks to the university. In my free time I read manga and light novels like Watamote and Oregairu.

My favorite books are "Chile actual: anatomia de un mito" and "El consumo me consume"  both of them written by Tomas Moulian who criticize the model of neoliberalism in Chile. Out of Chile, my favorite book is "Modernidad Liquida" written by Zygmunt Bauman who explains the actual status of the society thanks to the globalization process nowadays.

The last book I've read was the comic "Cafe amargo" drew and written by the chilean Pía Prado, who portrays the life of a class media worker who lives in the Chile of the 30s.I recomend this comic because it has a great art and a good development story.

Currently, I'm reading "Doña Lucia", a non-authorized chronicle about the life of Lucia Hiriart, who is the dictator's widow of Augusto Pinochet.

My favorite anime

For the purpose of the post, I will consider anime as a television series.

I don't really have a single favorite anime, since I can't decide on any of them., but I will choose Code Geass for the sake of the assignment. I like this anime because it portrays the confrontation of different thoughts about how a society is built.

Code Geass first opening

On one hand, we have Lelouch, the protagonist, a highschool student who wants to conquer the hegemonic power via a revolution. On the other hand, Suzaku Kururugi, Lelouch’s “friend”, seeks to reform the system, taking a social democratic look at the problem. I strongly recommend that you watch it.

In general, I don't have a favorite type of anime, I only look at those that are well reviewed by other users on the internet. For this, I use Myanimelist, a RottenTomatoes-like website.

The last anime I saw was K-On, I recommend it if you want to watch a wholesome show.

K-on!! fourth opening

It tells the story of a group of girls, members of the school’s light music club, and the various situations they live every day. A highlight of this show are its white humor, as well as observing the creative process of his songs and the charisma of all his characters.
