Summer plans

I'm not the kind of person who plans my vacations in advance, but if I start to think, the most probable place I would visit would be El Quisco, which is located in the five region of Valparaiso. I would be there because my family have a beach house that was built around six years ago. But if you ask me what place I would like to go in summer, if I have the money and have a good knowledge of the language, I would love to go Japan. With that said, if we think in realistic way, I will like to go to La Serena because of its beautiful beaches and views.

Throughout my life, I always go on vacation with my family, and due to that I don't have much liberty to do a lot of things. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not used to drink or to go places in the night, but my parents are so lazy to go out and discover new things about the city where we are staying. They are the type of people who like to remain in their vacation house. I would love to have the oportunity to go on vacation with my friends and going out to a lot of fun places, such as arcade, the beach and visit museum or tourist attractions.

I have planned to work in summer in a part time job. The last year, I worked in a cinema, although the salary was not good, it have a good laboral environment.

My bucket list

Before I die, I would like to do a lot of things. For instance, I wish I could finish what I´m studiying, which currently has been boring me because of the lack of freedom to write about the topics I would like to develop in journalism. Also I would love to go abroad to Japan and England. Because I like their pop culture and football. Going back to journalism, is my dream to create a web page which addresses anime, japanese music and videogames. With the objetive to dethrone the site web "Tarreo" and as a result, archieve to be the most readed page about these topics in latinomerica.

I can also add thanks to the way my parents raise me, they inculcated me the goal of entering to a university, because they think that when I meet that objetive, I could live without money worries.

I think the most dificult to acomplish are the travel to Japan because I need a minimum of four millions to go for one month at least, without counting the cost of the things that I want to buy there. In second place, I believe that I would get my degree in journalism, because the increasing dificulty that I experienced throughout the time.

I have only archieved one, that is entering to the university, although for me, is not a great thing. Because nowadays is becoming more easy to join to high education.

I would like to go abroad with my friends, it will be boring to go to Japan or England alone.

Post 6 Postgraduate Studies

As I said in my pevious post, I would like to take courses about languages and web design. I choose it because that knowledge will open to me a lot of opportunities in my future being a profesional. Besides, it will me make more independent than other journalist. With all the previously said, in the future, I want to create a web page about anime, manga, and music with a good looking web design.

In addition of design web and languages courses, I would like to study about video editing, since it will give me the tools to create a good youtube channel, and in that way, complement all the other courses  that I learnt.

I prefer to study these courses in my country, because it gives me the security to stay with my friends and my family. I would like to face the language barrier when I have a previous knowledge. It would not be comfortable to go abroad without knowing their language.

About how I would like to study, depending of each case, would be e-learning and presential class. For the web design and video editing, I would prefer to do it in my house with my own computer because it's more comfortable to use those software. With the language learning it must be face to face, since in my case, I  learn better with a native teacher of the language.

My future job

In the future, I would like to work in technological journalism and writting about movies or anime. I imagine doing reviews about phones, personal computers and something like that. I enjoy the idea that I can use smartphones or notebooks before it goes on sale. On the other hand, I would love to get paid for talking about my hobbies, or doing analysis about tv shows.

I think the job would be indoors, whether in my house or an office. I would like to move in my job just to do interviews or to obtain news, in that way I will save money for traveling. Although my dream is to do my work only in my house so I can have more time to do my personal things.

About the salary, I would love to earn more than one million pesos to live calmly without the preocupation to have enough money to pay the rent. But if we think in real terms, I would settle with five hundred thousand pesos.

When I finished studiying journalism, I would like to take languages courses such as english and japanese. I want to do that because I can apply that knowledge in my dream job. Also, I want to learn about video edition to improve my works.

My favorite book

I don't have a favorite book author because like the last post, I'm too bad to choose someone. Although I would highlight authors such as Pedro Lemebel, Tomas Moulian and Zygmunt Bauman. Since they taught me a lot of things through their books and also changed my visions about the society.

I don't have a clear preference about what kind of books but ultimately I've read topics regarding sociology and journalism thanks to the university. In my free time I read manga and light novels like Watamote and Oregairu.

My favorite books are "Chile actual: anatomia de un mito" and "El consumo me consume"  both of them written by Tomas Moulian who criticize the model of neoliberalism in Chile. Out of Chile, my favorite book is "Modernidad Liquida" written by Zygmunt Bauman who explains the actual status of the society thanks to the globalization process nowadays.

The last book I've read was the comic "Cafe amargo" drew and written by the chilean Pía Prado, who portrays the life of a class media worker who lives in the Chile of the 30s.I recomend this comic because it has a great art and a good development story.

Currently, I'm reading "Doña Lucia", a non-authorized chronicle about the life of Lucia Hiriart, who is the dictator's widow of Augusto Pinochet.

My favorite anime

For the purpose of the post, I will consider anime as a television series.

I don't really have a single favorite anime, since I can't decide on any of them., but I will choose Code Geass for the sake of the assignment. I like this anime because it portrays the confrontation of different thoughts about how a society is built.

Code Geass first opening

On one hand, we have Lelouch, the protagonist, a highschool student who wants to conquer the hegemonic power via a revolution. On the other hand, Suzaku Kururugi, Lelouch’s “friend”, seeks to reform the system, taking a social democratic look at the problem. I strongly recommend that you watch it.

In general, I don't have a favorite type of anime, I only look at those that are well reviewed by other users on the internet. For this, I use Myanimelist, a RottenTomatoes-like website.

The last anime I saw was K-On, I recommend it if you want to watch a wholesome show.

K-on!! fourth opening

It tells the story of a group of girls, members of the school’s light music club, and the various situations they live every day. A highlight of this show are its white humor, as well as observing the creative process of his songs and the charisma of all his characters.

My favorite concert

The best concert I've attended was the release of  the album"Latinoamericana" from the chilean artist Alex Anwandter. The recital was in november 22nd at Teatro Caupolican. In addition to Alex, there where also others surprise artists such as:Javiera Mena, the duo of Miranda and Gepe.

For those who don't know Alex Anwandter, he started his career in the group " Fother Muckers", then, he left it to form his new band called " Teleradio Donoso", where he made two albums. Nowadays, he is a renowned soloist who made three albums, one of them, "Amiga", was awarded by the  magazine Rolling Stone as latin best album of 2016.

In the concert, I felt very excited for his songs and perfomance, but, the surprise artists was the catharsis of the show, they made the atmosphere moving a lot. The best part of this, was the song "Sol de invierno" by Javiera Mena and Gepe, because was too emotional that made me cry. At the end of the recital, I was disphonic thanks to all of the excitement I released.
